Snowbombing partners with the Smirnoff Equalising Music Initiative!
Snowbombing is delighted to become an official partner of Smirnoff's Equalizing Music Campaign!
What is Smirnoff Equalising Music?
There is a damning disparity in the amount of Male to Female DJs operating at the top level of electronic music currently, for example only 17% of 2016 music festival headliners were women. Snowbombing has always actively booked female selectors, from likes of Annie Mac to Heidi, Cassy, Anja Schneider, Nina Kraviz and countless more. But this hasn't been the case across the board, and Smirnoff's groundbreaking programme wants to do something about it! In association with Smirnoff Equalising Music, we are dedicated to escalating gender parity within the electronic music scene, in which Smirnoff's aim is to double the number of female and female-identifying headliners by 2020.
The Smirnoff Equalising Music project is heading for the mountains, with a bus packed full of selectors across the full gender spectrum. From Electro to House via Jungle and Techno, buckle up for one of the most exciting week-long list of lineups in Snowbombing history...
Our roster of ambassadors at SEM in the Brück'n Stadl at SB18 are Peggy Gou, the awesome Nastia, Honey Dijon and of course Artwork, our resident prankster in chief who joins the gang to purvey his wisdom. The Brück'n Stadl is often heralded as one of the great underground dance spots in Europe: a pretty wooden club that becomes something quite different during Snowbombing week. When dusk falls and the slopes are empty, it transforms into a music mecca in the mountains that houses some of dance musics greatest DJs inside it’s oak walls… Bring on Smirnoff Equalising Music at SB18!
